A Yukon Solstice Celebration
A co-created odyssey of light and limitless potential. Three days amongst the pines along the Takhini River, where the sun refuses to set and neither does the music. Camp, create, and celebrate together — artists, musicians, dreamers, wanderers, all of you welcome. This is a space built by the people in it.
Arrive anytime after 5pm. Find your spot, pitch your tent, dock your ship. Take a breath — you've made it. As the sun dips low, we gather for a shared picnic dinner in the aspen glade, our open-air living room overlooking the river valley. Bring whatever delectable dishes you'd like to eat and share, along with blankets and cushions to settle into the earth.
From 7pm onwards, stay right where you are for poetry, live acoustic performances and ambient sounds — a slow, beautiful ignition before we open the dance floor around 10pm. That's right, for you veterans out there — times change and the dance floor vibes begin now.
Today is the longest day of the year. The sun won't quit, and neither will we. If you didn't camp Friday, arrive when you can — we're packing in a lot! Early risers, meet us on the grass for a yoga and breathwork session around 11am, a gentle launch sequence for the day ahead.
Your fellow Luminauts are running workshops throughout the day — swing by Mission Control on your way to the dance floor to see what's on and where. Expect nature walks, an art crawl, and an afternoon cocktail garden party (think croquet whites, florals, linen — garden party attire MANDATORY). Bring your favourite cocktail ingredients to share and let the afternoon shimmer.
The dance floor fires up mid-afternoon, and as the longest day stretches toward its golden edge, we turn it up further still. A stellar DJ lineup takes you on an endlessss journey far beyond the midnight sun.
Rise and shine — yoga again around 10:30 for those who are up, or who never went to sleep. No judgement. We take it easy into the morning.
Once limbered up, we settle back into the aspen glade for Burlesque Brunch. Bring your finest pyjamas, your favourite breakfast cereal, and a jug of mimosas.
After the dizzying heights of a Burlesque Brunch, we need to bring these Luminauts gently back to earth. Our special guest Modern Biology will guide the landing — weaving modular synthesis, home-built synthesizers and analog equipment into an improvised soundscape drawn from this very place: plant bioelectricity, latent electromagnetic radiation, the resonant hum of the earth itself. A transmission from the ground beneath your feet.
That's a wrap, little Luminauts. Pack up your vessels, shake out your blankets, and prepare for earthside re-entry. We'll see you in the next orbit.
We are not selling tickets, but we are asking everyone to contribute so that as a community we can pool our resources in order to make this magic happen. Every contribution goes directly toward funding the art, artists, performers, and infrastructure. We're not making any money — just curating this experience with your help.
Suggested contribution: $75
We know that everyone's situation is different. Contribute more or less, whatever feels right for you. The earlier you make your contribution, the easier it is for us to plan this. So please contribute soon. And if money is tight this year — you are still welcome. Come, participate, and contribute in whatever way you can.
Contribute →This is a DIY festival for the party people, by the party people. If you want to make art, host a workshop, perform, or help out in any way — we want to hear from you. Anyone can contribute.
